I found this online today, and I just had to share it with you all. This is completely true for us that have gone through or go through anxiety/depression. All we truly want is someone to love us, be behind us, and be understanding. When we are having our “bad” days and just want to stay in bed. Or want to run out of a place we are in. One of the things I have heard all the time is, “just do it this one time.” As if it was as simple as that. Just flip a switch and boom, I can go out. Newsflash if it was that simple we would have all flipped that switch, and then broke it in place. The other one we will hear a lot is, it’s all in your head. Or don’t think about it. Yes, we never really thought to not think about it. How did we miss that one? It’s like boom. You solved all our problems for us. Perhaps next you can solve world hunger and bring about world peace now that you solved our problem for us. Look at that, I really am sarcastic. Then there are days we don’t want to talk or do anything, and just want to sit in bed. We don’t want to talk about it. We don’t want you to fix it or solve it for us. We just want to be left alone. We’re like cats. We’ll love you one day. And then bite your hand the next. We can’t help it. It’s just the way we are.
